Why publishers outsource

Keep the slate moving.
Protect the core team.

Console work creates a concentrated demand for engineering, testing, production, and platform knowledge - often across several release windows at once.

01

Internal teams committed

Core development cannot stop every time a platform-specific issue appears.

02

Competing release windows

Multiple titles and SKUs put the same specialist capacity under pressure.

03

Certification risk

Late compliance findings can disrupt marketing, retail, and coordinated launches.

04

Stakeholder visibility

Studios, QA, production, and executives need the same accurate delivery picture.

What we deliver

A console workstream
you can see.

Crossforge can own a defined console delivery path or integrate into a broader production plan, with responsibilities made explicit before kickoff.

Technical assessment

A scoped delivery plan grounded in the actual codebase, platforms, and schedule.

Engineering & optimization

Platform integrations, performance, memory, controls, UI, saves, accounts, and agreed features.

Certification support

Requirements planning, hardware testing, findings, fixes, and submission coordination.

Production reporting

Named contacts, milestone evidence, open-risk visibility, and early escalation.

Selected work

Completed and
in production.

Approved titles are named. In-progress work stays anonymous until the partners agree otherwise.

Multi-title capacity

Plan the portfolio,
not just the port.

We confirm capacity before kickoff so senior specialists remain directly involved throughout delivery. For portfolio work, we map engines, platforms, dependencies, and release windows before committing to the slate.

Commercial terms are based on technical findings, platform count, schedule, ownership boundaries, and support needs. Fixed-fee delivery is offered only where the assessed scope supports it.

FAQ

Publisher questions.

How Crossforge fits into an existing production and portfolio operation.

Still curious? Email us
01Can Crossforge support several titles or SKUs?

Potentially. We review the engines, platform targets, release windows, development partners, and internal dependencies before committing capacity. The goal is an achievable portfolio schedule, not an optimistic title count.

02Can you work directly with our external studios?

Yes. We can integrate with the publisher, original developer, QA, localization, and platform stakeholders through an agreed ownership and reporting model.

03How do reporting and milestone reviews work?

We agree on the production tools, named contacts, reporting cadence, milestone evidence, risk escalation, and acceptance criteria during scoping. We prefer visibility over late surprises.

04Can you join a project already in progress?

Yes, subject to assessment. We first establish the current build state, open risks, existing platform work, ownership boundaries, and schedule before proposing a recovery or completion plan.

05What access is needed for an initial assessment?

The first conversation uses non-confidential project and schedule details. After mutual fit and an NDA, we typically need a representative build, relevant technical documentation, and enough repository visibility to assess scope and risk.
