How the work happens

From first fit
to store-ready.

A clear four-stage engagement, with technical risk assessed before production begins.

  1. 01

    Initial fit review

Share non-confidential project details, target platforms, timing, and the commercial path you are considering.

  2. 02

    NDA & technical access

When there is a fit, we arrange an NDA and secure access to the build or repository needed for assessment.

  3. 03

    Scope & proposal

We review architecture, performance, middleware, platform features, and certification risk before defining milestones and responsibilities.

  4. 04

    Port, certify & launch

We adapt and optimize the game, test on hardware, resolve compliance issues, and support the agreed release path.

Services & Deals

Which Crossforge path is right for us?

For Indies is for self-publishing studios retaining control of their console release. For Publishers adds external console capacity to an existing publishing operation. Console Publishing is a selective partnership for finished or advanced games with demonstrated demand.

Do you offer fixed-fee, revenue-share, or hybrid agreements?

Yes, depending on the project. Porting work may use scoped milestones or a fixed-fee structure, while selected publishing opportunities may use revenue share or a hybrid arrangement. Final terms follow technical and commercial assessment.

Process & Delivery

What should we send for an initial review?

Start with non-confidential details: a public store page, engine and version, development status, target platforms, and desired timing. We can arrange an NDA and secure access if the project passes the initial fit review.

What determines the scope, cost, and schedule?

The engine, codebase, performance profile, platform features, target consoles, certification readiness, and release plan all affect the proposal. After assessment, we define the milestones, responsibilities, commercial structure, and proposed schedule around the actual game.

Which engines and platforms do you support?

We evaluate Unity, Unreal Engine, and Godot projects for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, and XBOX. Feasibility depends on the game, engine version, middleware, rendering path, and required platform features.

How do you communicate during the project?

We join the agreed production workflow, maintain named contacts and milestone visibility, and communicate through the tools and cadence used by the wider team. Technical or schedule risks are raised early rather than held for a formal delivery.

Do you handle certification and submissions?

Yes. The agreed scope can include requirements planning, hardware testing, certification preparation, issue resolution, and submission support. Platform-account and publisher responsibilities are defined before production begins.

Ownership & IP

Who owns the game, and when does Crossforge act as publisher?

The developer retains ownership of the game and IP under our standard approach. A porting engagement does not automatically make Crossforge the publisher or transfer store control. Publisher-of-record status, platform responsibilities, and store ownership are defined separately in each agreement.
